Sports are back, and so is my will to live. Yesterday marked the first NBA basketball game since March 11th — when that moronic idiot Rudy Golbert contracted Covid-19 and continued to joke about spreading germs at his press conference. Likely the worst ageing joke of all time. Regardless, after 140 days, the NBA is finally back, and this weekend we will have the opportunity to bet on 66 live major sporting events. For everyone who isn’t good at math: that’s 66 more live major sports events to bet on than we’ve had over the last 140 days.
Let’s start the weekend on the right foot!
Chicago White Sox vs. Kansas City Royals (+148)
Does baseball suck? Yes, but a winner is still a winner. It doesn’t matter how you get there. The Chicago White Sox are America’s darling this season as the most popular longshot team to win the World Series. Most of this is a result of the shortened season and their impressive prospect list. That said I don’t bet teams, I bet numbers and love the home dog here.
San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies (Under 11.5)
Up in the Rockies, everything about this game screams over. That’s if you’re a square cuck of course. With the number of public bets slips split quite evenly on this game we are seeing about a 28% disparity of sharp money flooding onto the under in this game. If there’s one thing I know about betting, it’s that what makes sense never happens. Pound the under.
Boston Celtics (+4.5) vs. Milwaukee Bucks (over 220)
Shapest bet of the day is Celtics. I got it at +4.5, but it opened at +5 and has been bet down on some books to +3.5 — despite 62% of bet slips laying the points on the Bucks. Shaaarp money is all over Boston and the over here, follow the smart money.
