Mel Tucker Is An Unfaithful Fraud Unfit To Coach the Future of America

It’s my duty as a journalist to cover uncomfortable topics my counterparts are afraid to discuss. A disturbing college football story was swept under the rug last February when Mel Tucker broke his contract with the University of Colorado, leaving the program for a small Michigan school willing to pay him more money.

On February 8, 2020, Colorado head coach, Mel Tucker tweeted the following regarding his commitment to Colorado.

Four days later, while Tucker was attending a Colorado booster event, it was leaked that Cucker had accepted the position of head coach at Michigan State.
As a man of faith, I believe one of the worst sins imaginable is infidelity. A commitment that is inexplicitly broken for selfish and greedy reasons. Similar to a marriage contract, Coach Mel Tucker made a commitment. Not just to the state of Colorado, the students of the university, his coaching staff and the athletic program, but to the players he recruited and the mothers who he promised he would mold into exceptional young men.

Instead, like a cowardly adulterer, Tucker fled in the middle of the night on a private jet to East Lansing without even a courtesy text. Players who could have attended college at any university, but put their trust in Tucker were left cuckolded with no answers.

Similarly, as a man of faith, I don’t see anyway moving forward mothers of athletic young men could trust the word of this slimy rat. A man with this low of a moral compass should not be given the opportunity to educate America’s youth, that is unless we want a world filled with criminals. It’s truly sad to see a man with the moral integrity of Bernie Madoff given such a huge responsibility and shows the true colors of Michigan State University –that they care more about winning football games than the growth of their student-athletes.

It’s the unfortunate truth, but one we can all learn from.
