February 19th College Basketball Picks

It’s been a while since I was crushing bookmakers in the NFL season. After the super bowl it took me a couple of weeks to get back on my feet, but now that I have fully come to terms that there is no more football for the next nine months I’m live with College Basketball locks.

This is actually my first full season betting college basketball. Last season, after the Patriots lost me my entire summer savings in the super bowl I was forced to completely cold turkey quit gambling. However, this year the Pats won, and I had them +400 on a future bet (not to brag), so I’m doing alright. I have been killing in CBB the past few weeks so now I am a self-proclaimed sharp. I believe CBB is 10000X more profitable than the NFL. The NFL gambling marking is so efficient; there are rarely lines that are easy to take advantage of. On the contrary, in college basketball, there are arbitrage lines every day. The value is in the crumbs.

St. Peter’s Peacocks (+7.5) vs. Siena Saints

Love the Peacocks here. The sharps are all over them with only 41% of the public backing the Cocks, but 61% of the money riding on them. Don’t bother that they are a lousy 9-16 and on a seven-game losing streak that only enhances my confidence in them today. This is the MAC where anyone can beat anyone, and today the Cocks are the play.

Pick: Peacocks +7.5

Alabama (-1.5) vs. Texas A&M

Bama has been coving left and right for me all season. They are coming off an embarrassing loss to Flordia where they simply got out hustled, and I’m sure coach Avery Johnson has been all over them in practice. Even though the public is all over this pick so am I, and while I’m at it hammer this over too, Bama is gonna put up 80.

Pick: Alabama -1.5, over 143.5

UNLV vs.Wyoming (+5.5)

Lastly, here is one last sharp bet for the night. UNLV stinks this year, and if it weren’t for their programs previous success, they would be dogs at Wyoming. Sprinkle a little on the money line here. And for good measure let’s dabble with the under.

Pick: Wyoming +5.5/ ML, Under 141.5
